First Readers Little Red Riding Hood

The general story of Little Red Riding Hood is a cautionary tale about a young girl who is sent by her mother to deliver food to her sick grandmother's house in the woods. On her way, she meets a cunning wolf. The wolf tricks the girl into revealing her destination, then races ahead, eats the grandmother, and disguises himself as the old woman in bed. When the girl arrives, the famous dialogue ensues: "Grandmother, what big ears you have!" followed by "All the better to hear you with!".
